Ghost Recon Future Soldier is a third-person shooter (ed. although will switch to FPS when aiming - to increase accuracy). You will play as one of the elite special forces known as the Ghosts. One of the play mechanics within the game is the ability to perform cooperative tagging of enemies for simultaneous take downs. There is a partially destructive cover system and its new feature is "optical camouflage" a type of active camouflage, allowing the Ghosts to become instantly invisible.
Yesterday Ubisoft announced the PC release date for Ghost Recon Future Soldier...
Ghost Recon Future Soldier's release date was announced as 25th May 2012.
They then sent another release out stating that actually the PC version will be released at a later date and the 25th May is the console release date for Ghost Recon Future Soldier.
Every game released last year by Ubisoft had a delayed release date for the PC version. However the time between release on console and PC gradually got shorter through out the year. Lets hope this trend continues.
Here is a bit about the game from the press release
“Ubisoft prides itself on creating some of the most compelling and innovative experiences in digital entertainment,” said Adrian Lacey, IP development director at Ubisoft Studios - France. “Today we are feature complete in our MP, Single player and 4 player coop campaign modes. We have taken the decision to move the date in order to ensure that all these ingredients are pushed to the highest level and provide a truly unique shooter experience. The Ghost Recon franchise is known for setting the standard of high definition gaming and we believe the extra couple of months will allow us to reach that goal. We would like to thank all Ghost Recon fans for their patience and look forward to unveiling some exciting new elements in the coming weeks.”
