Borderlands 2 release date and Premiere Club

The publishers, 2K Games has just announced that Borderlands 2 will release on PC, PS3 & Xbox360 on 18th Sept 2012 in the US and Borderlands 2 releases 21st Sept 2012 Internationally.

There is a pre-order exclusive access bonus letting you in to the "Borderlands 2 Premiere Club", which basically lets you download in-game weapons and items.

For example, Borderlands 2 Premiere Club lets you download a Golden Key, the Gearbox Gun Pack and the Vault Hunter's Relic.

The Golden Key = in-game item that unlocks a rare item in the Golden Sanctuary Loot Chest.

The Vault Hunter's Relic = in-game item used to boost a players' gear-hunting fortune while playing. This works in solo or co-op.

The Gearbox Gun Pack = a collection of unique guns (Do i need to say this is in-game?).

Borderlands 2 is a first-person shooter with split-screen co-op (on the consoles) and online co-op with drop-in drop-out support in all formats.

A little quote from the Gearbox boss, Randy Pitchford - "Borderlands 2 is a passion project, through and through. The result is a sequel that has improved every successful aspect of Borderlands while innovating with an all-new experience."
