Diabolical...

Blizzard have announced a forthcoming series of patches for their smash-hit success Diablo III.

These patches, scheduled to be released over the next couple of weeks, not only address ‘service issues’ but also balance tweaks to the classes and items…

Among the proposed changes are a few balance issues for Legendary items and a costing rethink for weapon and armour smithing. A major consideration appears to be the encouragement of build diversity, which means strengthening up things that are currently too useless for anyone to bother with, while they gently nerf things that are just too good to do without at the moment.

What is interesting is the control that Blizzard has over this process as a result of their ability to monitor just what people are incorporating into their character builds, as a result of their much-maligned ‘always online’ decision. This may go some way toward explaining why they chose to make such a universally reviled decision.

Blizzard’s full announcement can be found here.

What aspects of Diablo III do you feel need rebalancing? Perhaps they could include voice support?

It depends on the items you're trying to sell. If you're trying to sell gems or blacksmithing materials, Blizzard has temporarily disabled this feature of the Auction House, to be reinstated in a few days, maybe a week.

Tweaks :D I always laugh when I see these patches :D Why can't they make the game balanced and playable to start with so there would be no need for patches ;)

Developers probably just want to maximize capital, without regard to consumers. I mean, I love this game, but if they release it complete with no bugs at all, that would add considerable time to the process, and development costs aren't cheap. So, knowing that people will buy a mostly complete and and playable game, they cut out that extra development time and make moar money.

There is no games like these "out there", that has total balance from launch (not even several days/months after). They set stuff up as they think its balanced, but of course it needs some tweaking pretty fast - gamers see stuff that they usually dont, even taking alpha/beta in consideration.
There is no such thing as a balanced game at launch.
A stable game (which this is definately not) - now thats a totally different matter
