Rockstar’s ultra-violent gun-frenzy Max Payne 3 is receiving pretty good press for its multiplayer. While the matchmaking and lobby system might be less than perfect, the gameplay lends itself surprisingly well to multiplay.
But as with all multiplayer games, there are always those who choose to spoil it for everyone else. In a stroke of genius, Rockstar have come up with the ultimate solution for what to do with cheats. Let them carry on playing…
Together.
Rockstar have announced that cheaters in Max Payne 3, “will be quarantined from all other players into a "Cheaters Pool", where they'll only be able to compete in multiplayer matches with other confirmed miscreants.”
This is an interesting social experiment. It’s hard to not imagine it a bit like a prison with no warders. We at GD can only imagine how amazing those MP games will look with everyone trying to out-cheat one another – it might actually become quite a fun place to be! Games may well never end, though, with everyone rocking infinite ammo and health.
But could this just become a legitimate place for hackers to congregate and exchange tips for how to spoil other games?
