New Walking Dead FPS Game Announced

Activision and Terminal Reality has announced a new first person shooter game based on the Television show series named, The Walking Dead. Not to be confused with the Episode version of The Walking Dead game series by Telltale.

The Walking Dead game is being developed by Terminal Reality. The character focus is on the redneck brothers, Daryl and Merle Dixon...

Previous projects covered by Terminal Reality include mostly racing games, 4X4 EVO, 4X4 EVO 2. Activision are set to publish. Concentrating on the shooter and stealth aspects it is said to also have RPG elements.

Players will get to use guns and various other weapons like crossbows to take down zombies, as the player tries to reach their goal.

According to Activision, this game is expected to be release on 2013 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. Check out their official web page from here. Also, you can check out the latest trailer from there too. There is a pre order page available but you can't order from there yet.

Love the TV series and the 5 episodic game so im hoping this will be good too, so far nothin with the name ''walking dead'' have disapointed me :)

I LOVE the Walking Dead TV show and I SUPER-LOVE the graphic novels, but the new Telltale episodic adventure game leaves me a little empty. The player is not in control enough, and there's just way too much "empty space" in the experience. Not that I need an action-heavy game to keep my interest, Telltale's game needs to give a bit more control to the player. That's why I was thrilled when this game was announced. I hope there's a much better balance of story/dialog and action.

More apropos to the upcoming Walking Dead game, Terminal Reality is also known for the BloodRayne games, and the recent Ghostbusters video game that featured the movie's cast doing the voice work.
Interesting factoid about Terminal Reality: in the movie "Grandma's Boy," the video game the film's main character is developing on his own was a game Terminal Reality was developing for the original Xbox, but ended up canceling. The movie's producers bought the rights from Terminal Reality to use it in the movie as an original IP.
