Dawnguard has yet to release for PC and PS3 gamers and GD has already received juicy information of Skyrim's next proposed expansion pack, tentatively titled - Hearth Fire.
Bethesda isn't going to abandon this game, or us fans, just yet. We have accumulated some facts that suggest Bethesda is already past the discussions and into works for this aforementioned title....
We all know the publishers' urge to trademark names mean only one thing. In this case, 'Hearth Fire'. It was earlier trademarked by none other than Bethesda's Parent, ZeniMax Media. Also trademarked was the infamous shout 'Fus Ro Dah' and the hummable 'Dragonborn'. But what makes us absolutely bang on Hearth Fire as the next-in-line DLC to Skyrim is the fact that barring a few, no one knows what Hearth Fire is whereas the former are classics among Elder Scrolls fans.
You don't know it either? GD is here to do just that - help. So, the term 'Hearth Fire' actually has two meanings to it. Firstly, in each of Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim's tomes, a pair of *now important* skill books, "2920, vol 09-Hearth Fire" resides. Up on reading it, the player's conjuration skills are boosted and that suggest it could have something to do with magic. Secondly, 'Hearth Fire' is a month, 9th to be exact, in Skyrim's Tamriel Calender. Anyone know our ninth month? There might be a connection there!

Speaking of magic, there is only place in all of Skyrim that teachs us that. Yes, it's Winterhold. Could it have a connection to The College? We don't know that, yet. As much depth Bethesda has already provided for Magic in Skyrim and Dawnguard, more will/is always welcomed. Imagine diving even deeper into the world of spell books and conjuration abilities... We're sold!
All this aside though, these are only speculations as of now so take it with pinch of salt. But when ZeniMax patents something, we take notice. We will keep a close eye on this for all of you. But first, let us get our hands on Dawnguard!

While this is just one side of the story, the other being Hearth Fire might be a different entity altogether, we are hooked to it and hope Bethesda's announcement is, what we assumed it to be. Any of you guys want to vouch for a 'Fus Ro Dah' or 'Dragonborn' DLC instead? That would be interesting to hear and do give your reasons for doing so. Lets have a gentlemen's debate, shall we?
So, you guys played Dawnguard on Xbox yet? Want another Skyrim DLC? Would you be happy if it was crafted-and-centered around 'magic' or is combat your only offence? Comment below.
