Nvidia has launched 'A New Dawn' tech demo. 'A New Dawn' is an improved version of the previous tech demo by Nvidia named, 'Dawn' that was release ten years ago, in 2001
This newly released tech demo features many elements like, detail maps, 40,000 tessellated strands, physically animated, which was a real improvement to the previous version, according to Nvidia's official site.
Part of the idea behind the demo is that people will be able to benchmark their rigs, although we are uncertain about the compatibility with non Nvidia GPUs at this point. However it is still a great thing for gamers to be able to review their hardware through various means to better understand its real worl worth.
'A New Dawn' is a pixie themed tech demo. It demonstrate textures and all the other elements, that is mentioned above using the pixie and her background going along with few other objects.
As the previous 'Dawn' targeted on Nvidia FX series video cards, 'A New Dawn' targets on most of the Nvidia's GTX 600 series' video cards. You can take a look at the requirements that is needed to handle 'A New Dawn' tech demo below:
GPU: GTX 670 or 680 (GTX 670 SLI, GTX 680 SLI, or GTX 690 recommended for Ultra mode)
CPU: 2.5GHz Dual-Core or higher
System Memory: 4GB
