BF3 Aftermath DLC Content

EA and DICE have recently revealed some key features of their fourth BF3 expansion pack, Battlefield 3: Aftermath.

While the third expansion pack, Armored Kill, hasn't released yet let's take a look at the key features of DLC number 4 shall we...

Urban warfare on four new maps
Fight through the dust and rubble, use the earthquake damaged terrain to your tactical advantage
New heavily modified military and civilian vehicles – ingenuity and firepower combined
New game mode
New assignments, achievements and dog tags

Also, this expansion is going to include:

4 new maps
New weapons
New vehicles
and more!

Looking at the official Battlefield 3 page for 'Aftermath', "Set amongst the shattered districts, streets and surrounding villages of a post-earthquake Tehran Battlefield 3™: Aftermath depicts a continuing struggle for supremacy and survival amongst the devastation."

"With operational capacity severely compromised the opposing forces must adapt and engage in vertical and horizontal urban combat amongst the dust and rubble with cracks and fissures in the terrain providing unexpected cover and paths to objectives. Additional support comes in the form of heavily modified troop transports and civilian vehicles specially adapted to deliver deadly force to the enemy."

As you may know, you must own a full copy of Battlefield 3 in order to install and play this expansion pack.

This DLC is expected to be release this December for all platforms that Battlefield 3 is available on. The exact date and prices are still unannounced. If you happen to own Premium membership for Battlefield 3 this expansion pack will unlock at no additional cost over the Premium membership cost. The other benefit of Premium is that it will unlock two weeks before non-premium members get their hands on it.

Lets put BF3 Premium in perspective though. You pay for a series of DLC, potentially 8 months in advance of ever getting your hands on it. This means it could be awesome or...with no reviews to read, because the content hasnt even been written yet, maybe it wont be what you want. Maybe if there arent enough people paying up front for it they could roll out some crap. It really is a new way of buying content, you have to have faith and you dont have your journalists to rely on.

Tell me, is Premium really worth it or is it better to pick and choose only the DLC you want when you know what you are going to get?

I love urban warfare.
Plus Felix is an insane driver with a jeep so this DLC is quite interesting ;)

If you are a true battlefield player that enjoys all maps and modes....then it is worth it. If you only play maps like metro, then I say it is not worth it. Then you can only buy those you want.

It's all a matter of personal choice of course but I believe it isn't that much of a risk to get the premium pack if you're really into the game. The Battlefield series have always shown quality (imo) so I think it's safe to say the expansions to BF3 will be worth their money.
Buying all the expansions seperately will definitely be more expensive than getting them all at once in the premium pack.
If you really like BF3, you'll want an expansion, and sooner or later, you'll want them all. So save yourself some money and get them all at once in the Premium pack (with some extra minor perks :p).
