It looks like CD Projekt have sent Geralt on a vacation, and for the foreseeable future, will allocate most of it's resources to it's new pen-and-paper adaptation, Cyberpunk.
Back in May, we told you of Cyberpunk's existence but details about it were scarce. Not any more...
CD Projekt's Community Manager Marcin Momot, listened to the community and gave out some information that will answer a number of your questions.
When questioned about the idea behind this new title he was quick to reply that the 'first' Deus Ex along with System Shock inspired them. Their approach to game-play is what appealed to CD Projekt. But the setting will stay true to - Night City, the theme of the original game. The game will take you, the player, 'global' as well. And by global I mean't "all over the world," so expect the game to be huge in terms of environment.
The story will again be tailored for the mature audience. CD Projekt's style; and by God are they good at it! Marcin exerts that unlike The Witcher, each character will offer a set of special skills that will impact your stats in many different ways. That means different classes for the player to choose from. Also, the customization options here will greatly differentiate it from the the latter game. While only a game-play walkthrough will be able to convince gamers of this, don't doubt them for a second because these guys will use all resources they can muster; to make an "ambitious" experience for the ages.
Moving forward, if you belong to one of those gamers who weren't very thrilled with The Witcher's customisation options, rejoice! This time, the developers are carving(and craving!) a game that gives players loads of customisation abilities that will appeal to every gamer. No limitations-like. Wonder if they can beat Skyrim in that department...? GD thinks its possible albeit a tough path. Hey, your going to buy it anyway so expecting (a lot) wouldn't hurt, right?
Marcin says," We definitely want to give players way more freedom with customisation of the main protagonist then they had with Geralt in The Witcher series. We are planning on letting them change their statistics, equipment, implants and much more."

He stressed that the environment will be true open world unlike The Witcher series. You will be able to move around at your will without any boundaries that would confine you to a single location. We did feel linear with the latter game in this department, so we are really looking forward to this claim. He also teased that a trailer or screenshot(s) might hit the internet by the year end. No matter, we'll be waiting!
He still did not give us a window for the release date nor did he shed light on the platforms. But knowing them you can be damn sure(we'll avenge it? Nah!) they'll bring this to PC, and possibly on consoles after their successful stint with The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition.
So that's what Marcin had to share with us, more or less. Are you satisfied with this bits of news? Are you looking forward to CD Projekt's new sci-fi RPG? Is the game's proposed open world non-linear structure luring? Help our community by sharing your thoughts below.
