Halo 4 Specialisations
Halo 4 will get specializations in the multiplayer. 343 Industries is planning to completely change the multiplayer of the next Halo game.
This focuses on specializations of your Spartan, which results in having a form of mini-class...
Halo is known for its competitive and active multiplayer, and 343 wants to renew and evolve the multiplayer. They claim the specializations will create an extra tactical dimension.
Spartan Ops designer David Ellis sais the following: “When we launch Halo 4 in November, that’s just the beginning, specializations are just another opportunity to make the play experience months and even years after release feel fresh.”
Each specialization contains 10 levels to unlock, among which nine armor upgrades, weapon skins, emblems and visor colours. These upgrades won't change the gameplay, but the tenth level will contain a "gameplay-changing" adjustment.
At the start there will be only two specializations available for everyone, Wetwork and Pioneer, unless you have the limited edition. The other specializations will be: Engineer, Tracker, Rogue, Stalker, Pathfinder and Operator. The differences between these layouts seem subtle and give benefits at specific points. The question will be how much this will change the gameplay, and if players who play alot will have a big advantage over players who play little.
Halo is always known for it's amazing multiplayer, but now 343 studios took over from bungee this might improve further, or be a complete failure. We will just have to wait and see.
Are you glad with this system, or is it a stupid feature just to keep you playing and grinding?
