First DLC for the single player section of Mass Effect 3, Leviathan, was announced a few weeks back, but until now we weren't able to receive a release date or a purchase price.
Today, a Bioware developer has confirmed the release date for Mass Effect 3: Leviathan DLC via their official forums...
As usual in many games, Xbox 360 players get their hands on this DLC a day before PC and PlayStation 3 players do.
Without any more talk, this DLC will hit the online stores on August 28th for Xbox 360 players. As I mentioned above, PlayStation 3 and PC players will have to wait another day to get their hands on it. Leviathan will be available for $10 or 800 Microsoft points for all PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 players.
As you may know, you must own the full version of Mass Effect 3 in order to purchase and play this DLC. The DLC itself will expand the single player storyline of the game.
"Taking place during the events of Mass Effect 3, players will be thrust into the darkest corners of space where they will hunt a mysterious being rumoured to be powerful enough to destroy a Reaper. As they race against time, they will begin to unravel the secret of the Leviathan." reads on a blog by Bioware.
Additionally, for customers who are going to purchase this DLC will unlock AT-12 Raider shotgun going along with M-55 Argus Assault Rifle.
Will you dust off your copy of ME3 and grab the Leviathan DLC or are you still feeling too jaded by the unpopular Mass Effect 3 story conclusion?
