Remember Me was originally Sony's property, but they seemed to lose faith in the project. Capcom swooped in and grabbed the rights taking the game on as theirs.
This means that this new game by Capcom isn't so new after all, it even made its debut at the previous gamescom with the name...
Adrift
Capcom are quick to tell us that their plans didn't completely match Sony's ideas and they have implemented their own ideas throughout and are working hard to make this game into a success.
First impressions seem good and the game could have been a Sony exclusive for Playstation 3, but hopefully Capcom will open it up to all.
Capcom: "The project is not completely the same, it's an evolution. The concept we had with Sony was different. Sony wanted to put the focus on a different type of game, which wasn't a good match for us. However, we are still on good terms with Sony."
The story takes place in 2084 in Neo-Paris. People recieven an implant named Sen-Sen which enables exchanging and saving of memories. The market that emerges is being checked by MemoryEyes, the producer of implants. Apperently they aren't working by the rules, because a rebellion rises. The rebel group named The Errorists, where you are part of, will fight against the organisation MemoryEyes. Your playing as a sexy kung-fu fighting lady named Nilin. But there is more to it, you are also able to give people memories, this is called Memory Remix.
Remember Me is expected to release in March 2013 for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Did Sony make a mistake when they gave up the exclusive rights to this promising game?
