So why then do some MMO publishers insist on treating their payers like second rate citizens when it comes to aftermarket care?We have heard some say this has been long overdue but Square Enix is being accused of lying about monthly fees associated with Final Fantasy XI. This has prompted a class action lawsuit involving a possible 100,000 user-base whom were not made aware upfront regarding possible contract charges/fees/penalties associated with their registration and use of Final Fantasy XI. The parties involved are seeking $5 million dollars in damages.Currently no comment has been given by Square Enix.Here is a copy of the class action.
