Battlefield 4 Already Has Day 1 DLC - China Rising
Written by Andrew Moynihan on 22 May 2013 at 10:23

Now I know most of you won't be surprised about this, but there was still some hope that Battlefield 4 wouldn't have Day 1 DLC.

Well, it does, and the China Rising pack will be free to those who Pre-order the game...

Battlefield 4 Already Has Day 1 DLC - China Rising

Details are a little light on the ground, but we know that the pack will contain 4 China based maps, new high tech gear, and some new vehicles. All this is yours for free if you pre-order now!

There was still some hope that Battlefield wouldn't be releasing with a swarm of DLC, encouraging you to pay more for your $60 game. Especially DLC that contains large amounts of content that is otherwise missing from said $60 game when it's released.

Still, it's almost certain that there will be a Season Pass for the game, allowing you to pay a flat fee for all of the DLC coming over the next year or so.

Does Day 1 DLC encourage you to pre-order the game? Or is it just a bullying technique? Will you buy it anyway because it's Battlefield 4? Tell us below!

Higher. Buying on pre launch is always cheaper, and sometimes you get some extra content. (For example, Tomb Raider)

I actually like DLCs i think day one dlcs are **ish but i feel BF3s dlcs kept it alive and without a day one dlc it left no point to get the premium edition.

The problem is: It costs way too much to buy DLC by DLC. I why would someone do that?

EA games. Will launch an incomplete BF4 for 60$ (standard edition) and after that will release a bunch of DLCs to complete the game. I love EA's games, but sometimes…

stop with DLCs EA
why dont people just make a big ass game and sell it for like 70 bucks and be done with it
i will still prefer buying CoD Ghosts and only buying this after trying it out on a friends rig or something

That's why I prefer Bethesda. Creates a huge game for no price, and after that releases one or two expansion packs, or free mini DLCs (Oblivion.)

So you're going to buy CoD b because you hate that Dice is releasing DLC instead of just pushing it out all at once? Well sir, sit back and lets take a quick ride!!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Downloadable_Content_in_Call_of_Duty:_Modern_Warfare_3
There you will find a very large amount of DLC for one of their games, ALL of these packs you have to buy unless you're part of the CoD: Elite!!!!! This costs 49.99 per year (Basically a game) And with a CoD game dropping once a year you're basically paying twice for a game. NOW, if you choose not to go ELITE!!@#!@#, then you have the option of downloading the content in "Packs" that totals to $56. Now with these packs (And correct me IF I'm wrong) but these only included new maps

and I believe some zombie stuff. NOW, lets look at the other side of the tree. BF3 Premium was $30, this got you 20 giant destructible maps, 20 new weapons, 10 new vehicles, and 4 new game modes as well. All of that for $30 (mind you that was on top of the initial release price of $60) So from what I'm seeing Dice was the clear winner in the amount of content vs the price. Not only is the quantity better, but the quality is about 1000% better in all aspects. Oh and BF3 outdid CoD in their Close Quarters expansion, it was a million times better than any CoD map I've ever played on. So you CAN get Ghosts, but for the content Dice releases vs price and quality, they win by a landslide :D Sorry for the split, damn character limit!!!
