The future of the Halo games has grown rather mysterious over the last few months. That’s not to say we won’t be getting another, simply that we don’t know what we’ll be getting.
According to a recent post by Halo 4 developers 343 Studios, they've got something else in the pipeline as well as their next Halo project...
Halo Developers On TV Show And A New Project
The update appeared as a blog on Halo Waypoint and is sure to get all you Halo and 343 studios fans as excited as a bunch of grunts. 343 Studios wrote:
“What is looming on the horizon for the studio is both exciting and daunting. We’re working on projects that you know about (the TV show and Halo Xbox One) and others that you don’t (insert absolutely zero clues here). Our team has blossomed from a few dozen to a few hundred, and it continues to grow at a healthy pace as new people are hired to make sure every team has more than enough resources to do their job, and do it well.”
343 really isn't telling us much with this; we already knew about the TV show; there’s no clarification on which Halo title we should expect; and their other project could be anything.
Although an update to the E3 Halo trailer showed us it was in fact a trailer for Halo 5, Microsoft Games Studios vice president Phil Spencer has since said that this won’t be the forthcoming game for Xbox One.
If this isn't to be the next game could we be looking at a remaster for Halo 2? I guess we'll all just have to wait and see.
Would you prefer Halo 5 or Halo 2: Anniversary? What would you like 343’s unnamed project to be?
