Rage Requirements

There is a big gaming industry name associated with this title, John Carmack of Doom fame. This is the latest game from his development studio, id Software, using the company's newest openGL engine id Tech 5.

The system requirements are in so lets take a look...

Rage Minimum System Requirements

OS: Win XP SP3, Vista, Win 7

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo or Equivalent AMD

RAM: 2GB

HDD: 25GB of hard disk space

GFX: GeForce 8800, Radeon HD 4200

Rage Recommended System Requirements

OS: Win XP SP3, Vista, Win 7

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad or Equivalent AMD

RAM: 4GB

GFX: GeForce 9800 GTX, ATI Radeon HD 5550

So it requires some grunt and it certainly takes a massive chunk of hard drive. We can see some minor inconsistency in the requirements. The recommended Radeon HD 5550 being a lesser powered but more modern GFX card than the Nvidia 9800GTX. We have put together our initial adjusted system requirements.

GD Adjusted Rage System Requirements

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6400 2.13GHz / AMD Opteron Quad core 1354

RAM: 4GB

GFX: Nvidia GeForce GT 440 / ATI Radeon HD 5550 1024MB

How To

Run your choosen Benchmark Tool on your PC, using the benchmark tool's default setting. Take a screenshot displaying the benchmark score and information displaying your rig and submit that to us.
