I've been playing this game for the past few days now but only in part. I've not seen, but only heard of the HBO TV series of the same. But from what I've heard and read the game seem to drift away from the actual TV series. However as I start to play Game of Thrones which is approximately thirty hours of playing time the game using the UnrealEngine3 you start out with a choice of one of three difficulty, your options are Squire, Knight or Lord. The year is 298 and you are placed in a sort of medieval time called Westoros the United kingdoms. Your very first protagonist is Mors Westford, a veteran ranger of the Night's Watch and as the game progresses you'll be playing the role of Alester Sarwyck, a red robed priest of R'hllor. The story is intense very subtle and manipulative given the circumstances to each situation.
I'm not giving a walkthrough of the game but just highlighting some of the game main points of interest. I do find the type of fights all too similar and repetitive, one of my highpoints in this game is the conversations being carried out between yourself and any key characters, making the right decision or the wrong one may give you more points or less. Other reviewers say the game is not good in graphics to which I may tend to differ also they say the voice acting of characters is not so great but again I tend to differ on that too. The storyline is pretty great and I tend to like it a lot. At different times playing the game with your main character Mors Westford you has your deadly and most friendly ally your dog. You can even use yourself to possess the dog and follow any trails or goodies.
I’d give this game a thumbs up for being interesting and gripping and also very good support for the X360 controller although the game can also be played with keyboard and mouse, but I’d much rather the controller to play.
To people out there who loves these type of games I'd recommend you to get this game and play to your hearts content.
This is truly A Game of Thrones...
