Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 set to be taken place in future, which seems to be a brand new addition to the whole Call of Duty franchise considering the fact, that non of the installments on the series had taken place in future. Furthermore, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is the ninth installment on Call of Duty franchise.
A while back when Treyarch has released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, many (not all) of the customers and fans who purchased the game were disappointed by it. Since it was very identical to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 but with few improvements added in to it. But it seems like this Call of Duty installment is trying to live up to gamers expectations from a future aspect game. But from what we're seeing so far, Black Ops 2 is going to be a blast for many FPS gamers out there.
Black Ops 2 is simply the sequel to Black Ops. So, it uses the same engine as Black Ops 2, which is the modified IW 3 Engine. So we'll be seeing some increases of graphical features, of system requirements for PC going along with new features that well suits for a futuristic genre game.
One of the biggest cons from Call of Duty: Black Ops for PC players of the game was that. it was poorly optimized, in other words poorly ported for PC from consoles. For example: The game can be played on high-end system users to experience slow downs, while mid-range users can run it really well without experiencing any slow downs. But we hope that, Treyarch will optimize Black Ops 2 and make it a better place/game for PC players.
Taking a look in to the story line, it will take place in two different scenarios; one in the years of 1970s till 1980s and the other in 2025. So not whole storyline of the campaign will take place in future.
Black Ops 2 also will be the first title on it's series to receive multiple endings to the story line in campaign mode. In another words, players choice will affect the whole the story line from the current mission on single player mode. Treyarch has promised to keep the campaign enjoyable as possible with a non-linear storyline, which most of use are looking for.
Zombie mode is one of the most awaited game play modes for Black Ops 2. It was previously seen in World At War, and Black Ops title in the series. But it was only for co-op play. This time, Treyarch has confirmed that the zombie mode is not only going to available as a co-op mode, but on some on single player campaign too, which seems to be interesting...
Heading to the multiplayer portion of the game, it's going to take a place in future, which means many new additions to the multiplayer portion. As new additions there will be; new weapons, new attachments, new perks, kill streaks, and much more.
Another brand new addition for the multiplayer section in BO2 is the new 'CoDCasting' feature. This is a feature that allows to spectate the game while casting it to others. Player can also record game plays via the theater mode and save them for later casting. From what I think, it's a great feature for competitive gaming, much easier for viewers to see what is going on and also for the caster.
After listening to the sound/audio for a moment from the E3 event and from the Black Ops 2 multiplayer reveal at GamesCom, they seems to be identical to the ones from Call of Duty: Black Ops. Which means the tunes from Call of Duty: Black Ops will be returning.
Overall, from what we're seeing so far, Black Ops 2 will be even a bigger hit than any other Call of Duty did with it's new features and the futuristic theme. Black Ops 2 will be heading to stores on this November 13th for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U platforms.
