First off lets look at the story. Borderlands 2 is set five years after the previous adventure. The main antagonist, Handsome Jack, has taken over the Hyperion Corporation, declared himself Dictator of Pandora and taken all of the credit for finding the Vault (look up Borderlands if you have no idea what i just said :D) The new group of Vault Hunters in Borderlands 2 are tasked with killing Jack and returning peace to Pandora.
The games starts out with a lovely scene where the four main protagonists or vault hunters are on a train to begin their search for the vault. This, of course, turns out to be a trap set by Handsome Jack to kill all who stand in his way of being the one who finds the vault. The vault hunters defend themselves showing off their individual skills and kicking Hyperion Corp. robot tail. They then reach the final trap showing a Jack dummy filled with explosives. After the boom you must choose the player you would like and unfortunately the other three die.The game picks up with the Vault Hunters waking up to Claptrap digging through the remains. The mysterious Guardian Angel then contacts them and explains that Handsome Jack must be killed and she will be your guide. Since I don't wish to spoil the game I'll stop there.
Borderlands 2 is not like other first-person shooters (COD, Battlefield, ECT.) It has its own special quirks about it, specifically its cartoony nature. The game is not only massive and filled with colorful things to do (and destroy), it’s stylish and funny and never feels too beholden to one audience. The real draw is the gunplay and customization. Borderlands 2 could easily go in a number of directions with its countless weapons and skill trees, but it keep things focused while still ratcheting up the difficulty and tension at each level. All in all This game is a must buy and must play for hours on end! 9.5/10
