If you want to talk about a good game, you can't go wrong with Half-Life 2. I'm going to be completely honest. Half-Life 2 is the best game I've ever played. Ever. Gameplay is excellent, and the storyline is even better. Amazing, vivid characters make you feel exactly how Valve wanted the player to feel.
It's not just the gameplay, either. I've noticed some things in the game that really capture the player to bring them in. Half-Life 2 uses a lot of foreshadowing, and it uses it effectively. Also, Valve does an amazing job making you feel attached to the characters and storyline, craving for more.
G-Man is such a mysterious, and a little creepy character, and if you noticed, you can spot him throughout the game, but not very long. The enviroment, characters, storyline, and gameplay tie together in Half-Life 2. Everything fits together perfectly, making it believable- even though it can be very fiction-like.
The Al's of Half-Life 2 are amazing. The sound design is great, too. If you have surround speakers, or at least just two, you'll know what I'm talking about. If an Al is to my left, and I turn slightly right, the sound appears to be 75% on the left, and 25% on the right. And this kind of sound design works on every angle and every Al. Brilliant.
Half-Life 2 is simply the best game ever.
