The gameplay and the environment are the best features by far, and at the top of a long list of features I enjoyed about the game. The game is visually pleasing, though not the best graphics. However, the blend of the visual quality coupled with the motion of everything from characters and the sway of grass in the wind, and even the change in weather, presents a very real and very immersive game experience. The gameplay itself is rather smooth, once you get used to the controls and the interface. The combat is great and based largely on the player's ability and the quality of the weapon. Furthermore, opponent shows a degree of realism and sophistication that encourages you to adapt, rather than opponents who just savagely rush and shoot at you. And, though many people had this as a negative, the vast expanse of the game was something that I think added to the realism, and indeed, the suspense of the game...

All in all, I've played this several times, and keep wanting more each time. I love games that keep me coming back for more, and each S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game I've played does just that, and does it wonderfully!!!
