Call of Duty: World at War is a first-person shooter WW2 based game released in 2008 after the successful "Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare".
The game is set on WW2 were the player plays on the perspective of
several characters in the game. The new game also consists of new weapons
that were not included in the previous game "Call of Duty 4 Modern
Warfare" such as the M1 Garand rifle and the M1 Thompson.
The new features also include:
- Giving the player multiple ways to complete objectives
- Cooperative campaign with up to four players
- Zombie Mode aka "Nazi Zombies"
"Call of Duty 5: World At War" also has no known sequels or series that
connects it nor is it related to the popular "Modern Warfare" series.
In this review, I will list my experiences and opinions in these 4 key
parts of the game.
- Extra Content
Now for the review,
The first time I played "Call of Duty: World at War" I thought it was just
another WW2 game, but as soon as I played it - it became one of the best
Call of Duty games for me. The story was very interesting and very
realistic, the environment and the characters very lifelike, and how I
like it - violent like WW2. So as I played through the story I found
myself in a war between the Axis and the Allied forces except you can only
play as the good guys ofcourse. Well the gameplay was really improved from
the previous game a lot of new content too.
Not much I can say here, all I can say is that the multiplayer is really
good and the fact that you can play coop in campaign, just teardropping.
If you play it I think you'll agree with me - lots of WW2 weapons ,
awesome kill streak rewards, and great maps.
Zombie Mode aka "Nazi Zombies":
Loved this mode, it's a really good addition to the game. Plus, I really
had fun playing it with my friends and brothers, and the game also
includes several maps of it each with its own gameplay style. Just make
sure to use a shotgun though, its very effective against them I say.
The graphics are really good, the environment design really reflects WW2
and it's violent scenes, not much after that.
Well that sums it up, Epic Campaign, Awesome Story, & Great Gameplay and
One of the best first person shooters of all-time , for me.
