Sam with his green nightvision goggles

Splinter Cell Blacklist is the 6th installment in the award-winning Splinter Cell series. The game is set to release on the 20th August for the PC,PS3 and XboX360. It is not yet known if there will be next-gen console releases.

Splinter Cell Blacklist will feature some classic moves and several new ones like ''Killing in motion'' which allows Sam to mark and execute while being in movement and seeking out next targets. The game fetures the legendary nightvision goggles and gadgets like the sticky shocker, camera, and two new gadgets, the noisemaker and the tri-rotor. The tri-rotor is a drone which allows Sam to scout areas which are out of line of sight, mark enemies, take them down non-lethaly, distract them or detonate itself. It is equipped with sonar-vision.

Blacklist will feature three playstyles which you can select, or combine with each other. These playstyles are the ''Ghost'', the ''Panther'' and ''Assault''.

The Ghost playstyle is for players that want original SC infiltration which means staying undetected, performing non-lethal takedowns if neccessary and staying in the shadows.

The Panther playstyle is for players that want to strike lethally from the shadows, performing executions and clearing out an area while staying undetected.

The Assault playstyle is for players that do not mind being detected, they leave no witnesses behind and they take on the consequences of guards being alarmed.

All three playstyles that are being performed will give you points which you can spend on upgrading Sam. This includes ugrading his five-seven silenced semi-automatic handgun, upgrading and purchasing new suits etc.

The game also features co-op missions and Spies vs Mercs. The co-op mssions are playable in the story mode, the so called ''Briggs missions'', split-screen and online. The one thing that was requested by the fans was Spies vs Mercs, so this is also returning in Splinter Cell Blacklist.
