Crouching to almost touching distance!

This is a classic hunting game from the hunting unlimited series. This game invites you to several areas to hunt a wide variety of animals eg moose, mountain goat, lions, elephants etc. You start of by creating your hunter and then your off. You can choose one of four modes to play. These modes are free hunt, challenge mode, target range shooting and tournaments.

Free hunt you just select you map, weapon, equipment, animals and off you go hunting. You can select up to six animals per map. There are 11 areas and 18 animal species. You have three tags and you can shoot what you want. In the target range you mostly sight in your scope for your rifle. In the challenge mode there are 11 tiers and each has several challenges. You have certain goals in each challenge and you can achieve a gold, silver or bronze award for each one. Then last but not least you can go to http://huntingunlimited.scssoft.com/tournaments/tournament_home.php to download tournaments and submit your score after each hunt. Scoring in free hunt and tournaments differ. In the game you only get a game score but on the website it can be set to game score, longest shot or heaviest animal and you can also select the amount of tags from one to three. After each hunt you can save your trophies and go and view them later.

You have quite a selections of weapons from six categories. These are bolt action and automatic rifles, muzzleloaders, handguns, shotguns and bows. There are lots of equipment available eg calls, map, treestand, blinds, spotting scopes, an atv or horse for travelling etc. There are mods available for download at http://www.huguide.com/ and http://hucorner.co.cc/.

All the Hunting Unlimited games have basically the exact same gameplay and framework. The changes in the game and graphics from Hunting Unlimited 1 to Hunting Unlimited 2010 are almost unnoticable. The graphics for a 2010 game are very very poor especially the environmental graphics, but the animals are are just "okay." The game has a cool bullet cam feature. There are only challenges and not a campain mode. The game is very realistic which is a plus point for the game. In the hunt you can die if you crash your atv or go to deep in water and even from dangerous animal attacks, but sometimes you die too easy. You also need to set your MOA for the distance of your shot. Another cool thing about the game, is  the vital areas of the animals. You can get a head, lung, heart or spine shot and these take practise to perfect.

So this is not a good graphics intensive game and gets real boring, but and it is a big but, it is fun if you just want to waste time and have fun. The tournaments makes this game even more fun and gives this game more of a challenge. This game have a lot of place for improvement, but it is a fun and an enjoyable game.
