Global Game Awards
DayZ Standalone The Forest 7 Days To Die Rust
Best Survival

It might read like an Early Access award but the truth is that the burgeoning survival genre is easily one of the most ambitious out there, and all of the titles recognised here are continuing to expand on an already mind blowing concept. In an age of handholding and mollycoddling, there’s something formidable about being plonked in the middle of nowhere and left to fend for yourself, gathering supplies and crafting weapons and defences, scratching that Neanderthal itch.

DayZ Standalone
2016 seems a long way off, but in the meantime players can get to grips with ridiculously popular Early Access release of DayZ. Updates are coming thick and fast to this online zombie-infested world and if you want to get in on the ground floor and both witness and impact the changes coming to this survival sim then you can do no wrong.
