Game of The Year
Dragon Age 3: Inquisition
Baffling the low expectations left by its predecessor, Dragon Age 3: Inquisition showed us that BioWare isn’t going anywhere. With a familiar style of gameplay but much better all-round execution, this is a grand adventure in the truest sense; DA3 delivers over 50 blazing hours of campaign alone, and the sense of a world so vast and intricately realised that it’ll have plenty more to offer for a good while to come.

Best RPG
Dragon Age 3: Inquisition
Expectations were understandably muted for the follow-up to Dragon Age 2, but a developer like BioWare was always unlikely to disappoint twice. Dragon Age: Inquisition is bigger, bolder, and better than any in the series before, delivering an epic experience that perfectly encapsulates the feeling of adventure that started many of us playing role-playing games in the first place.

Best Open World
Dragon Age 3: Inquisition
A late addition to the awards, Dragon Age: Inquisition came along and surprised us all, whisking us away on the grandest of adventures that put BioWare firmly back in the hotseat. It’s staggeringly huge world is on a scale almost equalling the likes of Skyrim, and it’s packed with content and secrets galore than can easily keep gamers enthralled for hundreds upon hundreds of hours.
