Developed Ninja Theory dubbed Hellblade as ‘AAA Indie’, meaning applying AAA production values to an indie product. And, well, it shows. Hellblade is one of the best looking titles ever and packs some of the greatest audio these lug holes have ever had the pleasure of hearing. Not necessarily ‘fun’, per se, Hellblade is a harrowing tale into the depths of Senua’s mental struggles, confronting horrid demons amid an oppressive landscape. Hellblade is not one for just after a good time, but by its own targets, it’s a game which succeeds on every level.
