Written by: virusxsx - 09:47 Nov-20-2013

Hi,

As the title say i need a good motherboard for fx6300 overclocking from the 4 M.Bs. i listed

and here are the links for them :

1-http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A99X_EVO/

2-https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A99X_EVO_R20/

3-http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A99FX_PRO_R20/

4- http://www.msi.com/product/mb/990FXA-GD65.html

I'm on a tight budget so i can only choose from those 4 , i 'll never sli  and will try to overclock on the stock fan for now until i get evo 212   , i will upgrade the cpu to the  new SR or 8350 , so thanks in advance

What is the best M.B. for FX6300 from this 4 For good overclocking

The ASUS Pro board seems like the best choice for an overclocker ;)

instead of these mobo's go with 970 based mobo's they are atleast 20-30$ cheaper, so you can get a CM hyper 212 evo and oc the hell outta that chip.

will according to this :
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AgN1D79Joo7tdE9xMUFlMEVWeFhuckJEVF9aMmtpUFE&chrome=false&gid=4
i need at least a ASUS M5A97 EVO/PRO to be in the safe side for upgrades but it's not ava. in my place so i'm stuck with ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 as the middle 1 or ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 for more
or the cheapest 1 MSI 990FXA-GD65 but it have alot of complains :(

try Asrock 970 extreme 3/4 or simillar gigabyte boards. also that doc is only for gigabyte boards not MSI or gigabytes.

the Asrock isn't good as the Asus , this is the whole Amd Motherboards for all Sockets and all brands
http://www.overclock.net/t/946407/amd-motherboards-vrm-info-database
and the gigabyte ava, is GA-990FXA-D3 which is not that good and the price is same as Asus M5A99X EVO

i was talking about gigabyte asrock or Msi's 970 based solution's.as i see it 970 is the best option for you as your not going for 3 way + SLI

i know that but the 970 based MB. aren't solid overclockers as u see from the sheet i posted above only Asus m5a97 evo\pro and higher have the power to handle overclocking very will and as i said i plan to upgrade to SR or 8350 or the new 9000 series

well, gigabyte 970A-UD3 seems like a good option for you. it has 8+2 phase design and is about 95$
and on a side note, if you do plan to upgrade FX 8320 should be your best choice as 9000 series are just OC'ed 8300's, eat a huge amount of power and are not available at retail stores.

if i buy Asus pro i will need to wait for 3\4 months before getting the CM 212 evo and if buy the evo i can buy the CM 212 in the same time

oh good, although its not good idea to keep the side panel open all the time, seeing as you have plenty of airflowat your case.

no matter what you pick in the end, please dont upgrade to another piledriver, like 9000 series. wait for next generation steamroller, or the one after it. you will love the value you ll get this way

AMD has said stuff and changed their minds very quickly, so there might as well be. and even if not, they ll make 6-core and 8-core apus, it will be like fx since people wont use i gpu most of the times i guess.

yes but AM3+ will die out anyways.as APU's are on FM2+ so even if they make a deactivated igpu version of APU's and sell them as FX, they will still have to sell them for the FM2+ platfrom.

My advice: dont overclock on the stock cooler, keep it as it is for now, it won't make a huge difference overclocked or not, although it will make some. Overclock when you get the cooler.
