why ram score is low

this is a picture of both windows experience index and cpu id i think the score is very low for 8Gigs of RAM

guys check out
the reason for that is my cpu is capable only upto 800Mhz
but i OC'ed it upto 840Mhz from the bios

Decent multiple HDDs in RAID should be able to score the same as an SSD in WEI

Does WEI recognise RAID arrays? I thought it measured hardware individually, although if they were in RAID it would probably see them as a single drive, wouldn't it?

Yep, but that has to be a real RAID setup, not some software based stripe, and you need that array to be a primary system partition. You can 'RAID' HDDs via windows disk management too, but it's then considered as a dynamic partition, thus you can't even install OS on it, meaning WEI wouldn't even measure that stripe's performance.

Oh, I just forgot to mention that I was talking about RAID0 all the time. There are other RAID types, with different purposes. RAID0 is completely performance based array type and offers no failure tolerance whatsoever, even worse - the more HDDs' in RAID0, the higher the failure rate. It's often the thing why people advise against using RAID0, however, personally, I don't see that as a big problem. I've been using RAID0 for quite some time, and I'm quite satisfied with it.

Your RAM is only 800MHz, its going to scores slow when there are 2400Mhz sticks out there. For a score of 7.9 you only need 1600MHz.

It's DDR (double data rate) and it says 400Mhz in the pic so it's 800Mhz, where did you see that it's 667MHz?

If speccy shows it's 667, then you multiple that by two, which is 1333mhz. So either Speccy or CPU-Z is showing some wrong information.
OR
Aflal has multiple sticks with different speeds and they're slowing each other down.

I'd trust CPU-Z more than speccy but it's true he could have sticks at different speeds, if so then one would throttle down to the speed of the lowest which would be 800MHz.

Because your RAM is slow. It's the speed that matters for higher score, not the amount of RAM. Mine scores at 7.8 and it's not even OC'ed

You can overclock it by changing speeds from bios. Either from ram speed list or if there is like lets say 800Mhz max. At that point you can increase it by bumping up your fsb (Front side bus) but don't expect to get insane results with stock latencies. My ram is stock at 1.5V cl9 1600 but I can bump it to 1864 cl10 with 1.65V. Just remember more volts=more heat.

But most imprtantly, too much heat=dead hardware :D
I would strictly advise against touching voltages, especially for RAM. Non OC grade RAM doesn't do well with OCing and there's a good reason why it doesn't.

^^ Definitely listen to this. If you think it's unsafe to overclock the RAM you have then it more than likely is unsafe.

I do want to add something here.. One who wants to OC RAM should first ask not how it's possible to do, but what does the OC actually does for him. I've noticed a lot of people actually don't really know for sure if they need some OC, or even worse - they don't even know what OCing would do, should they OC a particular component.
Note that overclocking ALWAYS comes with a risk. And it's bad fr your hardware too, higher temperatures mean less lifespan. Although in most cases that doesn't matter much unless temperatures are extreme.
There's plenty overclocking related guides out there, it's a good way to begin if some of you's are interested in OC.
