Hello GD,
As most of you know bitcoin mining (if done properly) can get you a lot of money, for free, perfectly legal. Now, unless you have a really good bitcoin mining setup, you probably use a pool. As you know not everyone on (public) pools have a good hash rate, and with a lot of people (10,000+) you usually do not get payed more than 0.001 bitcoins. Which is low considering 0.001 bitcoins is about equal to 1 USD...
Now, since there is a good number of people on GD that can probably mine over 1 G Hash/s, if we were to set up a GD bitcoin mining pool, we could make a lot of money, since (estimating) would could get over 1000 T Hash/s, which only 100-300 people, now with that low of people the average pay could be 0.1 bitcoins, equal to 100 USD. In about 10 days you would have 1 bitcoin, about 1000 USD.
To me this sounds like a good idea, free money, actually legally free money, which then you could use to buy anything (better systems). So, how many of you think this would be a good idea?

Again, email me if you want to join, need at least 100 people before I start up the pool. Average pay for 100 people is about 200 USD (per block chain)

Idk how this works at all but seems interesting

I could make another blog explaining it if you guys would like, though if you don't really care for an explanation, basically it's free money if you have a good PC, like yours (nice rig btw).

Is cuda working for mining? Becasue if not, 780 is somewhere near to HD7850 in opencl
PC Specs
would be nice if you made that blog.
also wouldnt litecoin mining be more efficient with these kind of computers?
PC Specs
It depends, if we get over 100 people to join, then bitcoin mining would be better, but we have less than 80, then lite coin mining will be the better choose.

Wow glad to see people already liking the idea, email me if you want to join : koltenviera@gmail.com

I will be getting 2 1.6-2.2 GH/s USB miners in a couple days, I would be glad to join!

Whoever voted No probably likes Carrots and Cucumbers. ( If you know what I mean ;)

I like idea too but dont know almost nothing about mining just some basics
So if you want this to become reality you need to make also some idiot proof step-by-step tutorial
PC Specs
i just tested my rig and i can only make 62-63 mh/s :( i woldn't get that much money out of it
PC Specs
Where do you test your rig?
PC Specs
well either you get the client and test run to see your hashes/s or you could(the client is really small) or you could try a mining profitability calculator that doesn't use hases for input..at some point i found one,but can't anymore :(
ps:gui miner is what i used to find my hashes
PC Specs
Wow...free money. What are we waiting for? Let's do this :))
PC Specs
Its legal? I tried it once, it runs lot slower in my system, so i uninstalled, but even after uninstalling it was running in background. Stealing my resource!

I like the idea, but I don't know a whole lot about mining bitcoins.
PC Specs
u make an "online wallet" for bitcoins, then u get a bitcoin miner(=uses ur cpu/gpu to do alghorithms) and based on ur share of hases/s u get rewarded when a 25 bit chuck is done.(to make bitchunks u need to do alot of alghorithms)
PC Specs
The idea is good though I don't have much knowledge about bitcoins. BTW who will get the money?
PC Specs
Who everyone who mines for the pool, how much they get depends on how fast the hash rate is. So basically who ever has the best rig gets payed to most, and (to be fair) 10% will randomly goto someone that is not is the top 25 best rigs. So 87% will goto miners, while 3%.
