Top 5 FREE Android Antiviruses
Written by: EldinSC - 12:52 Feb-02-2014

Hello GD-ers.Since we are in this whole tech age,we need to follow the trends, and part of those trends are for sure smartphones. As known last year, 455 million phones were sold, and 55% of that are smartphones, which makes around 250,5 millions of them sold out.Smartphones are increasing from year to year, and everytime they manage to surprise us with new and improved specs.

One of the main problems are that any smart device is commonly used to send and recieve malicious files, viruses, and messages. In last years this number incredibly increased, and viruses are proceeding fast forward. Also is known that viruses, when they once infect the phone, contamine only one "cell" of the phone,so at this stage they still cannot spread to the other apps,or parts of your phone memory.

But in any case it is good to have some protection. It's never too much to be safe.So in this blog I will try to put top 5 free antivirus apps for android smartphones.

2.AVG Antivirus-developed  by AVG Mobile,is one of the most used antiviruses today. It's a lot of options from cleaning your device, finding your lost phone via Google Maps, monitoring your battery, increasing your browsing safety and much more.It should be used, and I think it is one of the best free antiviruses today.

3.CleanMaster-developed by KS Mobile,is also one of the most used android antiviruses today.People find it easy to use with four main options:Junk Files,Memory boost,Privacy,App Manager. As a typical antivirus it has memory cleaning and boosting, history cleaning, moves apps to sd card and finds reliable place for them.In the newest update of CleanMaster you can find game boost system which makes your games run smooth and nice.

4.AVAST -developed by AVAST Software, has found its place in my top 5 antiviruses today. It posseses options like retracing your lost phone, automatic phone locking system, filtrating your messages, protecting browsing experience, cleaning, protecting, and boosting your device, and much more.I recommend it to you highly.

No AV used yet, I hope it's not necessary though as I tend to browse to safe trusted site. I wonder if WOT is available to mobile browser.

How about just using nothing except for common sense :).
Also, those "memory cleaners" are BS, and they only make things worse. Programs are stored in the memory to be accelerated, and they're not being accelerated when the memory is wiped continuously. Memory is there to be used, not to sit idly ;)

Yes,correct from both of you,but memory is continously used and used, and on low memory devices a problem happens if you have too many programmes running it.Your phone just slows down or just freezes. So i prefer having AV just to make it delete unneccessary apps running in background and, like Tzzsmk said to prevent it from that malicious emails and site redirections :)
