Big deal and upgrade.
Written by: Kenadevil - 14:05 Oct-08-2014

Both GPU-s are great and any of them is upgrade of course but I am in litle crisis now with money, and this prices are very good because I in few days can sell my 7750 easily for 97$ and more...

I know lot of about gpu-s but, sometime I say wow this 7770 will be great for litle upgrade, and then: wait its still enough 7750 it is asus edition, but see this 7850 for very low price that I need use.
And after all of this thinking I became very stupid and confused lol hehe.

There are deals:

1. http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/HD7770DC1GD5V2/overview/ PRICE IS=116.68$ or 92.34eur

2. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4347#ov PRICE IS=142$ or 112eur but +  few dolars for transport

HD 7770 VS HD 7850 for given performance by price?

That yes in that case you are right, and I am thought about that but, for 2gb or higher I need more to research or buy new card direct in shop. ;)

HD 7770>HD 7790>stock HD 7850>stock R7 265
I'd say to get HD 7850, but you're going to have problems in demanding multiplayer games, if you know what I mean. If you play games like battlefield get HD 7770, otherwise get a stock HD 7850.

I don't get what you're saying at all.
"you're going to have problems in demanding multiplayer games"
"get HD 7770"
You're gonna run into problems, so get a weaker card...?

Yep ahah xD
@Debat0r yep, it's better to get a weaker card than get a better card and experience worse performance than the weaker one :P However it's not a really big over HD 7750. I guess what he'll say will be crucial for his choice

Okay. I'll say if you want to get HD 7850 get it. HD 7790 would be a more balanced choice though. Consider upgrading your CPU in the near future. Happy gaming :D

I still don't get what you're saying at all Yiannis. Why would the 7850 perform worse than the 7770?
Spoiler alert: it won't.
The 7770 won't be a huge upgrade over the 7750, so it's not worth it. Just get the 7850 and you'll have a lot better performance for not too much money and you'll have a very balanced rig.

and I am also interested why maybe he have some explanation...
7770 is upgrade for 7750 but not huge like you say, and yes 7850 will be lot better I belive.

@Debat0r, the bottleneck my friend. The evil bottleneck.
@Kenadevil under better circumstances the HD 7850 will perform great. When your CPU is bad, it will perform worse than HD 7770 in lots of unoptimized/ demanding games. You need a new CPU.

The pentium is an excellent chip and won't bottleneck a GPU like the 7850 at all.
Take a look here, for example.
I also think you should rethink your definition of a bottleneck; performance will certainly not get worse, it'll only be capped at a certain point if it is bottlenecked.

aaa, Yiannis2000 now I know on what you are thought and I understand you, but I think this cpu can handle this and Also my plan is upgrading to 3258 and oc it or i3 4130 in near future for begining...
Debat0r, I also think that this cpu is excllent for begin. and look this, this guy has wrote:
Any higher, the GPU HD 7770 will become the bottleneck. on this game

"Any higher, the GPU HD 7770 will become the bottleneck"
Thus, meaning that the CPU has room to spare.
Your CPU is fine, games will even start becoming more GPU bound anyways, and relying less on the CPU. :)

yeah someting like that Debator, today games are very high on graphics.
Psychoman, really bad, because I cant OC my cpu its locked there no K in his name and only cpu from G series which I can oc is 3258, and I prefer only OC from bios I don't like from Win.

You can OC by raising the FSB, but that will also increase the memory frequency...

I know how OC that's not problem but I can't with this CPU its locked in bios.

The 7770 isn't a worthy upgrade (meaning, you won't notice the upgrade), so I'd go for the 7850.
Seeing what CPU you have, I'd not get anything more powerful than that.

btw why not get R9 270X ?

Ok,nice and thanks, I know 7850 was great card and have much awards. I didn't write all of these GPUs are new and I can also for 142$ or 112eur buy R7 260x it is great and very new but in perfomance I think still 7850 much better.
7770 I put on this deal because I can buy it only for money which I will receive from selling my 7750. Again thank you on cooperation Buddy :)

no prob :) advantage of HD7850 is 256-bit memory bus and relatively low clocks, so if you are lucky on good piece you can overclock it to HD7870 levels; on the other hand HD7770 is basically overclocked HD7750 so you can't squeeze much more performance of it and its narrow 128-bit memory bus isn't dealbreaker for 1080p resolutions these days....

Yeah Tzzsmk that is great 256 bit and low clocks which can be good for OC, and yes 7770 is already oc-ed 7750 that is bad :((,
Psychoman yes that is good and pretty good than others gpu in that price ranking 128SPUs and biger TMUs isn't bad.
THANK YOU BOTH on this understandings
