R9 280 or R9 270x
Written by: GamingAsian0 - 03:29 Oct-18-2014

I have decided either get a R9 280 or a R9 270x. I want to have a card that would last me a long time, and if you guys recommend any other cards or a certain branding for either one of these cards, please try to have it be the same or even lower than the current price of the R9 280, $205.

P.S. I am well aware I would need to upgrade my GPU. It well be more than enough to power any single or even dual card under the $300 range.

outperforms a r9 280. if you want a cooler and slightly cheaper card playing at medium-max settings 1080p go with r9 280.

depends on a few factors such as what games you'll be playing at what settings and your native resolution. generally, if your gaming at 1080p and playing games at high to max settings, go with a higher end r9 270x like a black edition, they come with 4GB of vram and OC right out of the box. trust me it actually

how much would a 280x cost in your country? cause a recent price drop in AMD r9 lineup might get that card closer to your budget. if not then it would be the 280 if i were to choose from either of those two cards

I would say the r9 285, it's more powerful than both and can be found for 220-240$

Otherwise get the r9 280.

I would get it, but it's too expensive for me right now.

If you have the extra cash, it makes more sense to go with the 280. Plus as an added bonus, you get an extra gig of VRAM! :D
