As we all know, Farcry 4 is/has to be one of Ubisoft most game changing titles they've released this year. As this title has broken their chain of messes as they've so tried to blame on AMD and other dev's.
But not to bash on Ubisoft, this is one hell of a game and title they've followed up on and it's certainly one not to miss out on. And on a serious note. Is become close to my favorite in the series following our jungle frontier and evacuation.
My experience with this game has been.. the utmost fun.. and anger at the same time.. the game runs beautiful on a high end system while those of us with our mids and lows have to tweak a little bit. Just to get the right frame-rate that we want to play on
I wrote this to share my experience on this game and to give some insight on what settings one should use with the hardware close to mine in performance. Those who don't know my rig.
FX-8350 Overclocked to 4.5 GHZ
GTX 770(directCU II OC Edition) Overclocked memory +40 Core clock +41(shouldn't be a real difference from a stock 770
8GB G.SKILL 2133 sniper ram running at 1600 MHZ, My mobo limits it.. heh im cheap..
And a cheap MSI 970A-G46 Motherboard
I also find this game LOVES overclocked processors.. the difference between my stock 8350 and my OC'D one is night and day.. 20 fps different.. weird huh?
I have my settings as follows
Ambient Occlusion-SSBC(HBAO+ If you don't mind to sacrifice)
I TRULY emphasize on having geometry high.. to me its just a useless setting and I hardly see a difference.. and in all honesty.. this game is still.. STILL beautiful on high.. turning geometry to high should give you a good 10 fps boost and hopefully these settings should work good for you guys.
Thanks for giving this a look, hopefully all you intel users can squeeze even more out of this game than I can.. Happy gaming guys!
