Need some help with my new ROG Swift
Written by: kaizervag - 19:43 Jan-09-2015

Hello guys, I just set up my new ROG Swift monitor and after a couple of hours fiddling with settings, new drivers and stuff a weird thing pops up when I am in fullscreen mode. I used pront screen to verify that is is not an output from the gfx, so i am positive that it is a monitor icon. It looks like a white recycle circle with a diagonal red line on top of it in a gray box. Its position is in the bottom right corner of the monitor. Has anyone seen anything like this? Any help will be appreciated. This is the pic.

Trying to 'read images'....Does it appear, no matter what game and resolution you use? After or during driver installation, nothing else was installed? Eventually show what's in your startup list for Windows (run 'msconfig')...

I hope it isn't too annoying :/

First of all thank you for taking the time to reply. I did not install anything before or after. I only did a reinstallation of the drivers (i will do another one now) Also the weird is that although it does not go away when i change res, it does change size as if it is from the gfx and is affected by the res. Funny thing though that it does not appear in print screen.
Thanks again.

You're welcome btw!
PS Pretty contradicting indeed, but you can change the title and put 'Solved' in it now, right? ;)

You serious? :D Well, that's nice to hear! Didn't you just manage to solve it yourself then? I just came here to post something else that might help, but fixed then, huh? :D Cheers!

Haha, that was me, saying I were investigating that icon and trying to 'translate' it somehow; 'resolution' was one thing that came up in mind...'refresh rate' also.
Btw: nice monitor it must be...which one is it exactly (type)? :)

Oh got it! LOL. It is an Asus 27" 1440p 144hz G sync monitor if that is what you mean by type, it is the only labeled ROG Swift monitor though they announced at CES two more one 4k and one without g sync but they are not yet available. Yes it is an incredible monitor. Upgraded from an LG 23" 1080p 120hz and the difference is amazing but i had to save up for a bit of time to buy it! :D

Sure it/they are all incredible! And with a rig like yours, G-Sync and 200 FPS without tearing would be a possibility where normally you would be stuck @ lower due to V-sync ;)
Btw: you mean, you didn't (fully) pay the monitor yet? :D
