Windows 10 downloads and updates automatically. This could be the problem, also try disabling all the rubbish you don't use and disable the tracking software by downloading windows, check out this blog. I diabled windows firewall as i have an antivirus running, by disabling firewall in services windows cannot automatically update, but will let you know what updates are available. Just go to services, start windows firewall, update and restart.

The Windows 10 driver for the WNDA3100V2 can be found on this page: http://downloadcenter.netgear.com/en/product/WNDA3100v2\#searchResults

I was hoping this was an issue with having outdated drivers, that would've been simple! If the manufacturer's own drivers don't work properly, there really isn't even a point to continue troubleshooting honestly.

yea i get what your were trying to do....in a hail mary i bought another adapter and this one works...so far...i'll get back to you on the details but from right now it looks like netgear sucks at keeping their drivers up to date...or working for that matter.
