Why youtube reviewers grind my gears.
Written by: bluej511 - 13:58 Dec-06-2018

Let's face it, most of em are either paid or sponsored by one or the other. The ones who aren't are few and far between and it's a real shame.

Money always talks, YouTube is a big business and they model themselves on what makes the most. YouTubers follow that model. Before it was "Hey i want to voice my opinion and get to know more like-minded people". Now its like "How can i be loud and annoying and sign a brand deal".

And they tend to conform to the public's opinion instead of giving them proper, honest reviews with their own opinions and tastes. There is nothing wrong like a bad game, and disliking a good one. Not every game is for everybody.

Yup exactly, it's bias at a crazy level. I got a s**t ton of neg comments for my review of The Crew 2 just because other reviewers didn't play it far enough and disliked it.

I think it's about being able to split the critics and the influencers. The influencers aren't worth a second of anyone's time, they're just a funnel for advertising and being paid to shout about things.

Yea the critics are usually the little guy, they don't get nearly the views either.
