There is overhead in the game with a quad core, your CPU isn't bottlenecking the GPU, but the GPU isn't reaching 99-100% utilization, more like 90-95%, probably due to background tasks.

Not that it matters you get fantastic FPS.

but its in 80-90% same as cpu i guess thats good, compared to other games where bottleneck is clearly wisible

Yeah, as I said there is overhead, thus software limitation, might be overcome with a better CPU, but meh, you are pretty much getting 95%(literarly) of your maximum potential performance of the GPU there, unless there is more overhead, but oh well.

i dont think that usage percent shows the actuall peformance as i saw people geting same fps with ryzen 5 2600 and gtx 1060 6gb there is no bottleneck, which means if i had better cpu that dosnt bottleneck my gpu by what you sayed it would bean 5% better peformance which also mean that difference between 1060 and 1080 is only 5%, sorry if i missunderstood this stuff.

and now i canot find that video with gtx 1060 as i may have saw rtx 2060 but forgot

True, as I've said many times, percentage utilization only shows how much of the hardware is used, but not on what and not how.
You can have a GPU at 100% usage and all it can be doing is stalling and empty cycles, it sure as hell is useless then, but it's 100%.

There is probably a massive overhead due to software and potentially hardware limitations.

Well I play my games with settings tht r not stressing the gpu and cpu much. Like 70-80% utilization at normal. For instance I reduce the resolution and other settings tht otherwise keep the gpu at 90% or above while the game runs normally.
One more thing tht I also keep an eye on is temps. If it is below 80 or 70 its fine. If not then, I reduce the settings. I have noticed tht when my gpu is utilized at max, frame drops or stutters occur. Stutters can also occur if my hdd is 100% utilized.

Ac origins is a big hdd utilizer. The game is coded in such a way on the pc version tht nothing fills the GPU's vram properly. The game loads and unloads the same thing tht it has already loaded multiple times causing uneccesary cpu thread utilization leading to 100% cpu usage.
Everyone blamed denuvo and vmprotect for it, but turns out tht this was the reason the cpu was utilized heavily. Bad resource management for a game as openworld as origins. Wonder how it is in odyssey tho as I have not played it.

Well I had Origins on my SSD just for Denuvo, then I read that newer Denuvo versions didn't utilize the HDD a lot, but I still kept it on my SSD.

And no modern game utilizes VRAM properly, if they did GPUs wouldn't need as much Bandwidth as they do.

But yeah, you just gave a great example of how Usage is too general of a word and how you should know what the software exactly is doing.
