Hello, I would like to talk about the gaming subscription which multiple companies by now provides. This content is provided by the game developers official websites. I will include the once I know about.
I will start of the hook with Ubisoft since they're the new edition of the gaming subscription. But before that let's see what it is in general I will provide a basic example.
In WoW - World of Warcraft subscription you needed to pay monthly fee to access that content when the fee expires you will no longer be able to access it, but you'll keep your progress. Same is with this new gaming subscriptions where the difference is for ex. amount of money you'll get dozens of games included dlc, early access, expansions and so on. Like why should I by something to own it just for a month? The idea of this is to spend less money on a certain game you want to play. If you don't want to pay for the full price you can pay for 1/3 the price. Like instead of paying for 60$ you pay 20$ and you get dozens of games in advance with included all content. Now let's begin.
What includes Ubisoft+?
Just for 15€/month in Ubisoft+ you get access to:
-Huge collection of games
-Unlimited play
-Get new games first
-Cancel anytime
There's not much to explain here, but in short just for 15€/month you'll get access to huge amount of games with unlimited play time also you can cancel the subscription any time.
For Electronic Arts - EA it is EA Play and EA Play Pro we will see the difference between them.
What EA Play includes?
-Unlock exclusive challenges and rewards, member-only content, early trials of new releases, and access to a library of top titles.
-Play select new-release games for up to 10 hours even before they launch.
-Get more to play with unlimited access to a collection of Electronic Arts’ fan-favorite series and top titles.
-Save 10%* on EA digital purchases including game downloads, Season Passes, points packs, and DLC.
With EA play it includes limited amount of time 10h per game and a monthly subscription that costs 4€/month and with not full access to all contents at least that's what they say, but you can always check in their get the game table below what EA Play and EA Play Pro includes.
Now what is EA Play Pro? Just for €14.99/month it provides:
-Score unlimited access to all our best games and brand new releases.
-Play the best editions of our top games with all the added extras including in-game rewards, Season Passes, and premium player content.
-Get early access to select new games before they’re released to the public.
-The same 10% discount* on EA digital purchases including full games, expansions, points packs and more.
The difference between the 2 membership is that in the EA Play Pro version you get unlimited access to all games provided in with full expansion, dlc contents, early access, 10% discounts is also included in the normal sub. What are your thoughts about the gaming subscriptions?
Are you using EA's EA Play, Pro or Ubisoft+ or any other subscription for gaming? Are you satisfied for the idea of spending less money on a game that is provided by the subscription, but you're limited with 1 month only (you can pay for more months, but the cost will increase). Or do you buy these memberships in order to try a game to see if it will run well on your PC or just for benchmarks? What are your thoughts about it?
For myself I've only used only EA's membership the old one for 4€/month I've forgotten the reason it was long time ago, but probably to test new games as for now I'm not planning in any games subscription, but I was always thinking about it. Is it worth it? I always play singleplayer games for a day or 2 or a week at max and then I never look at it. Probably this is due to growing up and getting tired of these new games. Right now I buy games that either I like it a lot or they're discounted and satisfies my needs.

thanks. I might sound harsh now. I've used GD's subs 1 month and I couldn't remove it manually and it went a 2nd month it was for 1$ and I needed to write to admins. It wasn't very good experience, tho, but i cant complain for this now. It was also years ago and i've forgotten it. Also usually i don't use/donate money to even streamers i watch or youtubers so GD's is my first one to support.

and for 2$ even if it wasnt intentional it was all good. I decided to support the website and so it did. With others was easier to spend on how much you wanted.

or 6 take my money. These subs are like netflix, HBO GO and so on. You get dozens of movies for ex. amount of price and I wondered do people use it for gaming? Also this is my first post and I wanted to be as serious as possible with less mistakes, but i see some here and there. Also as my rank says im informer, so I just inform people that this stuff is a thing.

You'd be surprised how fast people forget.
But as for the sub model, I have a question. Can you sub for 1 month or does it need to be for a longer period of time?

From what I've found, some allow you to have a membership for 3, 6 and 12 months and you can renew your subscription at the end of it (tho I'm unsure if you can cancel at will). Will research that a bit more.
