Choosing A Graphics Card For Our 1080p Paragon PC Build

We want a punchy GPU for this build and the Radeon RX 550X 4GB is currently priced at a competitive $99.88. . This PC graphics hardware selection is a nice price to performance option when looking to run Paragon at 1080p ultra graphics. We expect to see some good FPS from this card at these specs. Over the last few weeks we have noticed it increase its price by $99.88, proving that additional savings can be found you will just need to shop around.

Our graphics card will need 2GB of VRAM built into it to act as a suitable buffer between our video card and chosen CPU. This graphics card has 4GB which will be plenty for this game at this resolution.

Selecting The Right Paragon 1080p Motherboard and CPU

To fit with the above graphics card we have chosen a well priced motherboard, the GIGABYTE GA-A320M mATX AM4, that will allow us to slot in a compatible Ryzen 5 2400G processor based around the shared Socket AM4 socket. With the chosen cpu and gpu working together we will get a great Paragon experience, that helps achieve steady frames at this resolution. The chosen cpu has itself been selected because it represents a good fit with the game and the price we found it at when comparing today’s cpu market prices, finding it currently priced at $149.99. You can get this processor for $118.98, which we saw it at that price on 3rd Dec 2019. This is the lowest we have seen it at while watching processor prices.

Having the competitive price tag of $59.99, the GIGABYTE GA-A320M mATX AM4 motherboard’s strong price point today helps it stay in this Paragon PC build. Our motherboard price records put this mobo’s price on 18th Feb 2021 at $51.88.

How To Choose The Best RAM For Paragon At The Right Price

One of the more significant hardware components in this Paragon build is the RAM. We are choosing some complementary and well priced Patriot Viper Steel Series 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz. It is currently priced at $42.99. While among the best priced system memory for this build it will still provide us with the ability to reach our desired FPS for the 1080p ultra setting, that we have been focusing on with this PC. The cheapest system memory price for Patriot Viper Steel Series 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz was recorded as $30.35, and this was on 29th Nov 2019.

PC Performance Review at 1080p Ultra Settings on Paragon

A PC build like this can expect to get an average of 88 FPS on High settings in Paragon at 1080p. There may be some lower frame rates in some parts of the game, but we have chosen the components to get some solid frame rates. Increasing the quality in the game to Ultra, will see us still getting an FPS of 63.

Having the option of larger screen resolutions in the future is a handy thing to consider. This gaming PC setup, running Paragon at 1440p would be pulling in about 67 FPS at High. We would expect that to drop again to 48 if you were playing it at 1440p Ultra.

How this build performs for other popular games

Starting with Back 4 Blood we can see that at 1080p we are likely to see 63FPS on Ultra and 88FPS on High graphics settings. Selecting A High Performance Mouse For Paragon

As Paragon falls into the , Shooter, Online genre group, we have chosen to increase the quality of the mouse we are adding to our PC to help better meet the needs of the game. We have opted for the Cooler Master MM710, where this particular mouse is currently today’s best price but a more high performing gamer mouse than some of the other mice we normally choose in our builds.

Paragon Benefits From a High Quality Audio Headset

And now we move on to the PC’s audio selection, namely the gaming headset. We were looking to add a higher quality headset with this game’s PC build because it will help us enjoy the sort of game cues this type of game can offer. The headset that offers the best price today is the Logitech G635 7.1, delivering nice clear audio and a comfortable fitting at a good price. Check out the headset list above to see some alternative headsets available today for a good price.

An Alternative Paragon Graphics Card Option for 1080p

Not everyone is interested in going with a AMD card, like the one we have opted for in this build. So you could try going for the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super Asus Dual Evo OC 6GB instead, which comes with a 118% better performance adjustment when compared to Radeon RX 550X 4GB, and is certainly a solid video card choice for our build. We selected it while also considering its current price point, it is costing $239.99 at the moment.
