Choosing A Graphics Card For Our 1080p Fishing Planet PC Build

Not wanting to pay over the odds for hardware we dont actually need, is a gamers primary objective when building their next PC. But obviously in this specific PC build we want to ensure enough we choose something with enough performance capability to run Fishing Planet at 1080p ultra graphics options. We have taken a look at a whole bunch of graphics card prices today and compared them to the hardware’s gaming performance and our choice for this game is the Radeon RX 550X 4GB. We will get into its expected FPS for this game a bit later in the article, but for now we know it will deliver reliable frame rates at ultra 1080p. Todays price is $99.88 which is why we have identified it as a competitive performance to price ratio compared to other hardware in the marketplace today. Its price over the past couple of weeks has increased a bit by $99.88, which makes us think additional savings can be made here if you shop around.

We were looking to get a video card with at least 2GB of VRAM available onboard it, which acts an image data buffer between our video card and CPU. The Radeon RX 550X 4GB has 4GB, which is suitable at this resolution.

Selecting The Right Fishing Planet 1080p Motherboard and CPU

To accompany the graphics option we have put a compatible motherboard into the build. The GIGABYTE GA-A320M mATX AM4 motherboard in turn enables us to add the Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core 3.6GHz processor that has the Socket AM4 socket. This CPU is a great fit for Fishing Planet and balances nicely with the Radeon RX 550X 4GB, to help reach the right frame rates at this resolution. We have of course chosen this CPU today because of its price to performance credentials where it is currently priced at $199.99. A low end price for this CPU would be $56.98, which we saw it priced at on 7th Jul 2020.

At $59.99 the GIGABYTE GA-A320M mATX AM4 motherboard muscles its feature rich chipboard into today’s Fishing Planet PC build. We have checked the mobo prices and found that on 18th Feb 2021, this motherboard was priced at a low of $51.88.

How To Choose The Best RAM For Fishing Planet At The Right Price

System Memory is a significant part of any gaming computer. The build today finds the Patriot Viper Steel Series 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz to be the best price to performance RAM solution for our Fishing Planet PC. At last reckoning we priced it up at $42.99, which is a cheap price for this amount of RAM. There are of course other options and configurations of system memory you might like to consider in your build. This RAM was recorded at the lowest price of $51.88, and this was on 29th Nov 2019.
