Choosing A Graphics Card For Our 1080p Diablo 4 PC Build

Lets not pay over the odds when we put this game’s graphics card in. We want something that can play Diablo IV at 1080p ultra graphics options and we want something that has a reasonable price compared to the other graphics options. The Radeon RX 5700 XT MSI Evoke OC 8GB has been looking like a good stand in for this games curated PC build, based on the price of $397.99 that we found it marked at today. It will certainly help return suitable FPS, which we will go into a bit later in the article, at ultra 1080p. Out of interest our lowest price tracked on this graphics card was on 6th Dec 2019 where we saw it for $376.05. Over the last few weeks we have noticed it increase its price by $9.91, proving that additional savings can be found you will just need to shop around.

Selecting The Right Diablo 4 1080p Motherboard and CPU

Finding a cpu is largely dependent on the right motherboard. The CPU we are going to choose has the Socket AM4 socket type. So we have found the best priced and well featured mobo in the GIGABYTE GA-A320M mATX AM4. The Ryzen 5 2600 processor will then fit in and accompany our Radeon RX 5700 XT MSI Evoke OC 8GB selection nicely, with the cpu being at a great price point, costing $185.99. A good reference point is, a low price for this processor was spotted on 7th Jul 2020 where we saw it for $59.9.

At $59.99 the GIGABYTE GA-A320M mATX AM4 motherboard muscles its feature rich chipboard into today’s Diablo 4 PC build. Our motherboard price records put this mobo’s price on 18th Feb 2021 at $51.88.

How To Choose The Best RAM For Diablo 4 At The Right Price

One of the more significant hardware components in this Diablo 4 build is the RAM. We are choosing some complementary and well priced Patriot Viper Steel Series 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz. It is currently priced at $42.99. While among the best priced system memory for this build it will still provide us with the ability to reach our desired FPS for the 1080p ultra setting, that we have been focusing on with this PC. To provide a bit of system memory pricing insight, we spotted this Patriot Viper Steel Series 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz being sold for a low price of $30.35 on 29th Nov 2019.

PC Performance Review at 1080p Ultra Settings on Diablo 4

With this current build we expect to see a return of 61 frames per second at ultra 1080p resolution in Diablo 4. Adjust some of the graphics options and you could boost this up to 85 FPS for High graphics settings.

An Alternative Diablo 4 Graphics Card Option for 1080p

The Nvidia option for this build would be the 4% worse performance difference GeForce RTX 2070 Asus Dual Advanced 8GB graphics card and certainly a viable choice for Diablo 4. We considered this alternative graphics solution because it was also the best price point in this performance range. It is priced at $379.99 today.
