Our objective here is to enable us to explore what PC we could buy that can play Minecraft RTX, where we carefully find the right hardware components that can run Minecraft RTX and meet its gaming needs while also heavily factoring in today’s best hardware component prices. Our mission is a top end gaming solution for this game with the highest ultra graphics, delivered via a 1080p screen resolution. We visit this page every day to check on the prices and selected components we have added for this PC build. Naturally as new better hardware is found we will be adding and swapping to optimise this list with a view to giving us all a good jumping off point regarding expected build quality and pricing levels for our new Minecraft RTX build.

Let’s consider some of the interesting characteristics about this game, to help us build something that matches the sort of game we are considering to build a PC for. As we know it comes under the , Sandbox, RPG, Adventure, Management genre style categories, which may well influence some of our peripheral selections, ensuring we consider the specifics for the games requirements. Looking at its development the game was built during 2020 and around that period and the devs themselves probably had hardware comparable to some of the latest hardware of that period. In terms of its relative hardware demanding position, it is considered by us as 1 placed game on our most demanding games of today list at least at the moment, although that list shifts regularly. Obviously these points help give us a better picture of what we may want in the build, but they are only supporting us because when we choose, it is the best priced components that will find their way into this build today.

Choosing A Graphics Card For Our 1080p Minecraft RTX PC Build

Lets not pay over the odds when we put this game’s graphics card in. We want something that can play Minecraft RTX at 1080p ultra graphics options and we want something that has a reasonable price compared to the other graphics options. The GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Super has been looking like a good stand in for this games curated PC build, based on the price of $2499.99 that we found it marked at today. It will certainly help return suitable FPS, which we will go into a bit later in the article, at ultra 1080p. For reference, the lowest price recorded by us so far for the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Super is $1213.49 on 4th Mar 2020. As a point of interest this graphics card has increased its price by $1100 over the past two weeks.

Selecting The Right Minecraft RTX 1080p Motherboard and CPU

To accompany the graphics option we have put a compatible motherboard into the build. The ASRock Intel B365 ATX LGA1151 motherboard in turn enables us to add the Core i3-9350K 4-Core 4.0GHz processor that has the LGA 1151 socket. This CPU is a great fit for Minecraft RTX and balances nicely with the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Super, to help reach the right frame rates at this resolution. We have of course chosen this CPU today because of its price to performance credentials where it is currently priced at $200. Bottom prices recorded for this CPU was when we saw it at $161.03, which we noticed it on 1st Dec 2020.

Having the competitive price tag of $72.99, the ASRock Intel B365 ATX LGA1151 motherboard’s strong price point today helps it stay in this Minecraft RTX PC build. This motherboard was priced at $59.99, which we saw on 4th Apr 2020. While monitoring prices this is the lowest we have seen it at.

How To Choose The Best RAM For Minecraft RTX At The Right Price

Our PC needs some well placed system memory to support our chosen CPU and GPU selections. As we are looking to achieve the 1080p ultra frame rates the Patriot Viper Steel Series 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz is currently priced at $42.99, which is among the better priced RAM today. To provide a bit of system memory pricing insight, we spotted this Patriot Viper Steel Series 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz being sold for a low price of $30.35 on 29th Nov 2019.

PC Performance Review at 1080p Ultra Settings on Minecraft RTX

Our PC build can run Minecraft RTX at High graphics settings comfortably, returning a 1080p FPS of 85 and we would expect an average of 61 FPS on Ultra with the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Super, Core i3-9350K 4-Core 4.0GHz combo we have put into this computer.

How this build performs for other popular games

When buying a gaming PC for a specific game we still expect it to run other popular games. So as a benchmark lets see how well todays best priced PC build can deal with these 3 games at 1080p. Star Citizen should get 61 FPS at Ultra settings and this goes up to 85 frames at High settings. Resident Evil 8 can get an Ultra FPS of 61 FPS and increases to 85 FPS for High. Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be around 61 FPS for Ultra settings and improves to a 85 FPS on High settings.

An Alternative Minecraft RTX Graphics Card Option for 1080p

Not everyone is interested in going with a Nvidia card, like the one we have opted for in this build. So you could try going for the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB instead, which comes with a 4% worse performance adjustment when compared to GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Super, and is certainly a solid video card choice for our build. We selected it while also considering its current price point, it is costing $1288 at the moment.
