Prices and hardware reviewed and updated: 13th Aug 2021

If you are asking yourself, what hardware components should I buy for my next PC so it can run Tekken 7 then that is exactly what we will be doing in this review. Our challenge is in choosing the right priced PC items to get together an optimum build, which can meet the needs of Tekken 7. We will therefore be aiming to run this game confidently each time at the highest graphics settings, delivered via a 1080p screen resolution. Todays prices will be checked every few hours to make sure only the best hardware at the best prices will be displayed for this build.

First off, to help us pull together the best hardware for this build, we have to understand a little bit about the type of game we are creating this computer for. Tekken 7 is a title which sits in the , Arcade, Fighting genre categories, which may influence our peripheral selection a bit, to help accommodate some of the particular requirements there. This game would have also been built on PC hardware during 2017 and before, which can suggest the sort of specced components a developer might have been using and hoping for their game to run on. Today we find it is 1 on our most demanding games list and 1 in our list of popular games. While this extra info gives a good sense of what we want from our PC, nothing really replaces our value for money assessment based on live prices, when putting together this build.

Choosing A Graphics Card For Our 1080p Tekken 7 PC Build

Our key objective when putting together our next gaming PC is always going to be finding a great price point for the most performance we can. Today’s build we start by looking for the right graphics card, at the right price, that can run Tekken 7 at 1080p ultra graphics. Looking through todays available cards and comparing their hardware performance has lead us to cherry pick the GeForce GTX 1660 Super Asus Dual Evo OC 6GB today for this game. It is capable of returning strong frame rates at our desired ultra 1080p. Checking our records our lowest tracked price for this card was on 28th Nov 2019, which had it priced at $229.99. Todays price is $239.99 which is why we have identified it as a competitive performance to price ratio compared to other hardware in the marketplace today. We have seen this card drop its price recently by $47.68 which is part of the reason it has been slotted in to this build.

The game also needs this graphics solution to deliver at least 6 GB VRAM to act as a buffer between the PC build’s video card and the processor.

Selecting The Right Tekken 7 1080p Motherboard and CPU

To fit with the above graphics card we have chosen a well priced motherboard, the ASRock Intel B365 ATX LGA1151, that will allow us to slot in a compatible Core i3-9350K 4-Core 4.0GHz processor based around the shared LGA 1151 socket. With the chosen cpu and gpu working together we will get a great Tekken 7 experience, that helps achieve steady frames at this resolution. The chosen cpu has itself been selected because it represents a good fit with the game and the price we found it at when comparing today’s cpu market prices, finding it currently priced at $200. The cheapest price we spotted this cpu for is $161.03, which was on 1st Dec 2020.

The ASRock Intel B365 ATX LGA1151 motherboard has a cost today of $72.99 that helps find it a place in today’s Tekken 7 build. To provide a motherboard pricing benchmark the lowest recorded price we have for the ASRock Intel B365 ATX LGA1151 is $59.99 on 4th Apr 2020.

How To Choose The Best RAM For Tekken 7 At The Right Price

One of the most important hardware parts of this computer is the system memory or RAM. To make sure our resolution target and frame rates are met we have chosen to put in Patriot Viper Steel Series 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz. This is currently priced at $42.99 and is well priced compared to the system memory market today. A low price point for this Patriot Viper Steel Series 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz was spotted on 29th Nov 2019, where we saw it at $30.35.

PC Performance Review at 1080p Ultra Settings on Tekken 7

Our PC build can run Tekken 7 at High graphics settings comfortably, returning a 1080p FPS of 88 and we would expect an average of 63 FPS on Ultra with the GeForce GTX 1660 Super Asus Dual Evo OC 6GB, Core i3-9350K 4-Core 4.0GHz combo we have put into this computer.
