PC System Analysis For Grand Theft Auto V Requirements
You need a Core i5-3470 3.2GHz or FX-8350 processor coupled with a GeForce GTX 660 to run Grand Theft Auto V system requirements at recommended. You can expect to get around 60FPS at 1080p screen res on high graphics settings with this hardware. You should also have 8 GB system memory. The best chance at playing this at minimum sys specs on a 1280x720 screen res will be if your PC has at least the GeForce 9800 GT/Radeon HD 4870 graphics card. The CPU required to meet minimum requirements is a Phenom 9850 Quad-Core Black Edition/Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz processor. With that PC you will be getting around 30FPS on low graphics and may need to adjust some of the other Grand Theft Auto V graphics options. System memory for min is 4 GB. Make sure your GPU can run DirectX 11.00 or Grand Theft Auto V won’t run. This means you will require a 10 year old PC to play smoothly.

stable 60-70fps, you may be able to push more into Ultra territory with the available 4GB VRAM. Although the site says 2Gb VRAM, GTA really likes to use upto 3Gb VRAM.

i get a stable 60fps on high-ultra. You will be able to push more to ultra since GTA 5 will be able to utilise that 4Gb VRAM without bottlenecking itself :)

I've seen people with similar specs run the game on 1080p normal but I'm forced to run at 900p low with shadows off yet fps drops to 10- stuttering

To elaborate on my specs, my 7700hq comes out of the box with turboboost disabled. Using throttlestop to enable turbo just leads it to thermal throttle by 25%, VRAM available is 4GB, game states its using less than 1.5GB

On settings, I've turned off shadows, set everything to low on the settings page, Res set at 900p, turned vsync on to help with stuttering (otherwise MSI afterburner and Riva says fps can go to 150fps to 9fps in a heart beat), using dx10.1

Easily high with some ultra settings enabled. I do suggest upgrading your ram to at least 16Gb to enable Dual Channel and to be able to push the graphics more into Ultra territory. I have found my 8Gb just not enough for my system at ultra settings. You could see anywhere between 70-100fps :)

you may be able to play this game at low 720p with an average 30fps. You will get frame stutter though, but it could be playable. unfortunately your CPU is fairly under powered so i wouldnt exactly get your hopes up.

You'll average about 15-25 fps at low on 720p. I wouldn't attempt it, the game would look horrible and won't be fun to play. Sorry buddy
