My graphics card is weaker and it ran Doom 3 really well, yours should have less problems, also your CPU is stronger than the minimum one

So, the one on Steam says that it does not support Windows 7, and I have Win7 and I'd really like to get this game. Can I get some verification from someone more tech-savvy, pls?

I'm running Windows 7 and I can play it fine, you may have to tweak some stuff in the config file to get it working properly, especially if you want it in 16:9 aspect ratio. But to answer your question yes it should work fine on Windows 7.

I can't believe it. I need proof. Anyway, it's good to hear it can run in your rig and even though you set it the game's setting high. that's remarkable!

Hey guys, I have a pretty up to date upper-middle class gaming rig yet the game simply won't allow me to run it at anything higher than low settings. Anyone have a fix? Oh and also, I'm using Win 7.

It's something weird to do with the resolution, I get the same problem. You're going to want to install the sikkmod and the texture pack it comes with, I can't remember the exact link but there's a DL on moddb that'll be what you need. It really looks nice and it even destroys my system. Gotta get to OC that 4690k :D

Ha, I had that same rig. Try high settings for playable FPS buddy. But i had a pentium D. Play at 1024 for best results with that GPU... much outdated.

Can somebody please help, I'm running this at 1280x768 maxed out with AA at 60 FPS always, but I have big black bars on the left and right side of the screen no matter what resolution I run it at, does anybody know how to fix this? (note that I am using a real version of the game, not a pirated version)

Do you have the original Doom 3 or the BFG edition?, if you have the original, then you can't because the original Doom 3 has problems with AA, so you'll have to keep AA off, if that's not your max resolution, change it to your max res, if it is, well your pretty screwed with Doom 3

So basically it says I can run this game, but when try to play it, no matter what I do it lags HARD. Whether it be on Low, Medium, High, Or Ultra. It makes me sad because I love this game. Is it a compatibility issue with Win7?
