Star Wars: Empire at War is a 2006 real-time strategy (RTS) game developed by Petroglyph Games and published by LucasArts. Set between Episode III and Episode IV, it focuses on the fledgling struggle between the Empire and the Rebels. It uses Petroglyph's game engine Alamo. The most recent patch was released on July 20, 2006. In October 2006, an expansion entitled Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption was released.

this game isnt that well optimized and even on a decent gaming laptop wont run it without lagging. i say you could probably play it on med or low but nothing higher

i played the game and ... have some frame drops sometimes and sometimes runs well but i canot do anything about this ?! i mean .. to play smooth if it's bad optimized it means it;s the game not my pc right ? =/

That exactly means that the game runs badly on any system. Since the game is older as well new OS's have a harder time running it. Respond to your comment 2 years later lul.

Yeah with all the effects and and particles too!!! It will make it look really awesome!!! You could probably play this on high on a dual-core machine.

you'll get a playable fps at medium with that h/w... My new system can play this on ultra with 50+fps.. well i do have an x4500 which is the best lga775 igpu so yeah :D

My system (click on my username to see its specs) can run this game minimum settings with 25-35fps. The box says it requires: Computer: 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible. OS: Win 2000/XP (also 7 works). CPU: Intel P3 or AMD Athlon 1.0GHz or faster. RAM: 256MB or greater. GPU: 32MB 3D card with Hardware T&L. Any sound card should work. DVD-ROM drive. Mouse+keyboard. 56kbp/s or faster modem or LAN connection (by LAN that means broadband). Enjoy :)
