Christof falls in love with a nun named Anezka who tends him after he falls in battle. Not fully recovered, he ventures into the Mines to kill Ahzra, a vampire. Upon his return, he is "embraced" by the leader of the Brujah clan. His nature, urges him to find a way to redeem his soul, by regaining his mortal state. Being a vampire, he learns to conquer his dark side and gain experience with his powers to fight against a world of darkness that he is now a part of, while struggling to maintain his humanity and faith. In a battle he is buried under tons of rubble, to awaken centuries later in the modern world to face a new challenges – including a new enemy whose actions may well doom the world. Christof eventually finds vampires responsible for the kidnapping of his love only to find the woman of God that he fell in love with is now a twisted creature of the night. The game sports three different outcomes, depending on choices in the game which affected Christof's humanity either negatively or positively.
