Hector: Badge of Carnage: We Negotiate With Terrorists is based on the adventures of the character Hector : Fat Arse of the Law, a hard-nosed and soft-bellied Detective Inspector with the Clapper's Wreake Police Service. A hostage crisis in the centre of Clappers Wreake causes the police to send in Detective Inspector Hector as a hostage negotiator. Hector is not their first choice, but he is their only choice because the other negotiators have been killed. The terrorist has a list of altruistic demands that he has to meet or else his fellow officers will be killed one by one. Hector's methods are very politically incorrect. Many of the games puzzles involve a callous disregard for the safety of others. The game is a 2D point and click graphical adventure with spoken dialog, cinematic cutscenes, and an original score. For the PC, Mac, and iPad release of episode 1, the game has been converted by Telltale to use the Telltale Tool. It still retains 2D graphics.
