GRID has rapidly become the heir to TOCA’s throne, and GRID Autosport looks to take this comparison a step further with a more realistic and authentic stab at professional racing
To mix things up a bit for GRID: Autosport there’ll be five different types of motorsport, each with a dedicated series of cars available for them, ranging from supercars to prototypes and your classic touring cars. Codemasters is promising that the final release of GRID: Autosport will come packing more than 100 tracks spread over 22 locations, ranging from rallying to street-racing.

Unbelieveable... with my current rig, I benchmarked it: High; min_fps="35.879360" max_fps="59.294518" av_fps="44.588528" and Ultra; min_fps="20.267309" max_fps="31.477928" av_fps="24.016182".

Actually, if he sets everything to ultra apart from AA, he should still get smooth fps. His rig is well above the recommended requirements and the game is optimized pretty well.

Minimum settings are similar with GRID 2. Run well on low settings. But the game is really boring.

Certainly. Try ultra with x2 AA at first, see how that runs and then tweak it to your liking :)

With my 7850 at ulta and 4x msaa i get 60fps with vsync on with no problems at all. Does seem really really well optimized.

I checked the GD adjusted settings, and it said i should have no problem running this game, the recommended settings are higher than my machine however. So should i worry now? Thanks!

Normally that would mean that you can't play the game on ultra, rather just on high. However, this game is pretty well optimized, so you should have no trouble turning the settings all the way up. Only use x2-x4 AA though, that's plenty.

@tucker147 how did you get that much overclock? i heard the i7 920 is very tricky to OC!

Cpu is lapped.
I'd go higher but my hyper 212+ is holding me back. :P
BTW the 920 is an amazing overclocker if you have the right cooling.

I play it on HIGH with my resolution and stil get smooth 40+ FPS at night and 50+ at day race but i have a problem:
My game crashes after few minutes of race (Usually when i have hard crash with opponent). Anyone knows the solution?

Oh and i tried 340 beta driver for nvidia. A game last a few minutes longer but that was not a solution :(

HI, when i set default High settings the after some seconds the game crashes,and in the toolbar appears a nvidia recovery notification.
its strange cos when i optimize the settings on the geforce experience most of the settings are in ultra and i can play in 60fps...i dont know whats the problem..?!

remove and reinstall driver see if that helps

You will need to use a driver removing program though, otherwise the old drivers may not uninstall completely. Try something like DriverSweeper, just google it and it should give you a link.

i think the grass makes the crash...if i set the shader on low,medium or high,grass appairs and as soon as you get out of the track,the game crashes

The drivers shouldn't be crashing, regardless of the settings you're using. One more thing- check your temps next time. Sometimes if the GPU overheats it just stops the game and tells you the driver crashed, instead of restarting your PC.

You might be able to get 30fps if you run on ultra low @ 1024x768

does it also freezes like previous grid titles due to overclock...
my grid 1 freezes at some points (from 40fps to 10-15fps and regains to 40fps) if i overclock my cpu or gpu...

i have never had this problem it would be your video card really working overtime when overclocked thats causing it to happen

i only set overclock when starting SOME(not all) games and will turn it off after i exited, and temp keeps b/w 60-70c...
so i dont think overtimed overclock is the problem...
and one thing i didnt experience it in any other games except grid...
